So you may have to separately install or check versions of software for Internet Explorer, and other Web browsers for Web browsers other than IE). Example - Adobe Flash Player.
This is because most Web browsers use the plugin, but Internet Explorer uses the ActiveX control.
Also, normally the Adobe installers/installation for Adobe Flash Player under Microsoft Windows do not have a single installer for all major Web browsers, especially if you perform the install or download in a Web browser. .

Software Informer recently reminded me. It reported newer Adobe Flash Player was available, after I had installed newest Flash Player (in Mozilla Firefox, which installed plugin for most popular Web browsers other than IE). But then I realized I not do this for Internet Explorer yet. I thought software informer was incorrect as usual an was reported a newer beta test version, but finally SI was correct about an official final release version of software being newer.
